Mosman Tallowwood Timber Floor Refinishing

Owners of an iconic heritage home in Mosman discovered that beneath their old carpets was a beautiful hundred-year-old tallowwood floor. It was in an awful state of neglect, but they asked if we would be able to bring the antique floor back to its former glory.

The result speaks for itself.

We removed the carpet and gave the timber floor the attention it deserved. It took several sandings to get there – each pass using a finer grain paper, but soon we had it at a smoothness that met our standards.

Next we cleaned the boards immaculately so that no sawdust could contaminate the finish and compromise the end result. After several rounds of polishing and applying the finish we arrived at a spectacular result.

A floor worthy of one of the great heritage properties of the lower north shore.
