Silvertop Stringybark

Silvertop stringybark occurs natively on the coastal side of the tablelands, mainly in northern New South Wales.

Description

The species is a pale brown colour, sometimes with pinkish hues. The grain of silvertop stringybark is typically close and straight, with a medium and even texture, relatively free of gum veins.

With a Janka hardness of 9, it is a medium density timber that has a resemblance to the popular Blackbutt timber flooring product.
