Australian Chestnut
Australian Chestnut brings together three distinct eucalyptus species – messmate, southern beech and silvertop / black ash – native to the south east of Australia. It is a very durable and attractive blend.
Description
Australian Chestnut is characterized by subtle colour variations from a light straw colour to light to medium browns.
As hardwood timber flooring, it differs from most other timber species. It is not just beautiful and full of character, it is also an enduring solid hardwood that is extremely well suited for timber floors, as it is highly dent resistant. Australian Chestnut has a Janka (hardness) rating of 8.1.
Thanks to its unique strength, it is also suitable for other applications such as cabinetry and furnishings.
