Grey Box
Grey box is a tough, highly durable Australian hardwood. It grows in the central and north coast districts of New South Wales and southern Queensland. It has a fine, even texture and usually features an interlocked grain. It’s defined by a pale yellowish, almost nutty colour.
Description
With an impressive Janka (hardness) rating of 15, Grey Box is an extremely hard wearing timber that makes it perfect for timber flooring in high traffic areas.
You should be aware that the hardness can make it quite difficult to work with. It usually needs some additional time for installation.
